SURF N SPICE - HIRIKETIYA

This place is so lovely!! The staff is soooo nice and helpful and everything is just peaceful. You can choose which beach you want to go to and you can reach a supermarket quite easily. The breakfast here was so damn good! I will be thinking about this for a long time:) I can only recommend staying here when you are in Hiriketiya!!

Home away from home! I loved everything about this place- quiet, a short pleasant walk to town center, incredible breakfast and cafe vibes (and music!), electricity was better here than in other places I've stayed, AC worked well, nice patio, big bed and bathroom. As a solo female traveler I felt safe. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, arrange rides, etc. BOHOMA STUTHI!!!

Amazing place and such friendly and helpful staff. This place is special! We ate here several times during our stay - just had to keep going back. Best coffee in Sri Lanka! Smoothie Bowls were amazing, avo and toast so tasty. Basically everything we ordered was so good. Great atmosphere and the staff are just amazing.

Came for food, and it was amazing! Good music, good food, the nicest staff I’ve come across in Sri Lanka! Deserves as much attention as smoke and bitter! Which was so busy compared to here which was chilled and very fast service.

We ate at Surf n Spice four times during our stay in Hiriketiya—three breakfasts and one lunch—and honestly, we could’ve kept coming back! The food is so delicious. The French toast, pancakes, and smoothie bowls quickly became family favorites, and every plate came out looking beautiful and thoughtful. The coffee is next-level. I tried the Vietnamese coffee, espresso, long black, and affogato—each one was strong, bold, and exactly what you need to kick off your morning right. The staff was always super kind, welcoming, and friendly. Yes, the food took a little while to arrive, but you could tell it’s because they really take their time to make it right—definitely worth the wait. And their dogs, Surf and Spice, totally stole our hearts. My son loved being greeted by them and hanging out while we waited for our food. This place just has such good energy. Great food, amazing coffee, lovely people, good music, and sweet pups—what more could you want? Highly recommend!

We came here for food and coffee, and we were really impressed. The staff was super friendly, the food was absolutely delicious, and the coffee was great too. The place is clean, and the service is outstanding – they go out of their way to fulfill any request. We would definitely come back!

Just had the best dinner here! Club sandwich was great, well structured, fries were honestly so well cooked, and I chose a great juice! Lovely atmosphere and the deco and aesthetics are so cute
